Klein spent two decades at Interep, managing the Los Angeles offices for both D&R Radio and McGavern Guild. He most recently was VP/director of sales for D&R until battle with Cystic Fibrosis forced him into permanent disability. Klein died Monday at the age of 47.
Klein spent his entire life in radio sales, joining Interep in 1988. He sold for Interep's Group W Radio Sales and Schubert Radio Sales before joining McGavren Guild in Los Angeles in 1992. He rose through the ranks of McGavren Guild, eventually becoming a regional VP for McGavren Guild's western division in 2004. In 2006, Klein was named regional VP/DOS for D&R Radio.
Bruce and his wife Laura were together 12 years and his greatest joy was his daughter Samantha. Bruce was an incredibly funny man and loved to make people laugh. He was devoted and loyal to his friends. He had a true passion for radio and worked in radio sales his entire professional career; he was a personal and professional mentor to many.
