10-4-2012Kaplan is a former FCC staffer and the NAB creates a new position for him, Executive Vice President of Strategic Planning. Kaplan will lead NAB's efforts related to spectrum and innovation policy starting October 22. Kaplan worked in media and wireless when at the FCC. He said, "I'm thrilled to be joining a team of talented professionals at one of Washington's most respected trade associations --NAB -- at a critical juncture in the history of broadcasting."
