The Huffington Post reports that state lawmakers who were in D.C. for a conference, took the opportunity to lobby Congress to pass what they call the Marketplace Fairness Act. It's really a fancy name for another tax they'd like to slap on the American public. It would provide states with the ability to collect a sales tax on online purchases. As the story points out, the bill has been around in the halls of Congress for about a decade now.
