Slacker Launches Customizable Forecasts

Online music provider Slacker today launched customizable forecasts and updates from The Weather Channel. The new station from The Weather Channel can be set by location and is available now for Slacker on smartphones, tablets, in-car infotainment systems, consumer electronics device,s and on the Web at www.slacker.com/station/the-weather-channel.

 ?The Weather Channel is synonymous with anytime, anywhere access to the most accurate forecasts and weather content, and joins ESPN and ABC News to give Slacker listeners the news and entertainment that?s most important to them," said John Hayase, Slacker's Chief Product Officer.

The station will deliver national and regional weather news based on a Slacker user's ZIP code, but can be set for any region. The comprehensive forecasts are available for 22 markets across the Unites States and will be updated four times a day. Each forecast features current conditions, short- and long-range forecasts as well as coverage of severe weather events.
