With the recent passing of classical radio veteran Gary Hollis, KMZT Los Angeles will present a special tribute to the radio host on July 20 at 12 p.m. The program will highlight Hollis? life as both a character actor as well as his love for the classical music genre. Station owner Saul Levine hired Hollis in 1990 and says, "I had no idea that we had engaged one of the most creative and dynamic air persons in our long history in radio." The show will repeat Sunday at 5 p.m. and Monday July 21 at 9 a.m. Hollis died of cancer earlier this month at the age of 74.
