The FCC has approved the sale to Sacred Heart Radio who will take over operation of the station Thursday. KGY President Jennifer Kerry said current programming will continue at 95.3-FM and the sale of 1240 AM is a great opportunity to bring more programming diversity to Olympia. Sacred Heart Radio is a radio network originating at KBLE-AM in Seattle with additional stations in Yakima, Spokane, Kodiak and now Olympia. The non-profit group is headed by Ron Belter. There are no staffing changes anticipated in the operation of KGY 95.3FM.
