Multiple Scandinavian news sources are reporting that despite the news last week that the bid had been blocked, Jay Z has purchased Wimp and its parent company Aspiro. The current owners, who control 90 percent of shares in Aspiro, have accepted the offer worth $54 million. The purchase pits Jay Z into direct competition with Beats Music, purchased by Apple's $3 billion acquisition in 2014.
