Hanlon was President of the Midwest Region for Citadel overseeing 85 stations in the midwest, including Grand Rapids, Lansing and Muskeegon. For Cumulus, that region will now be added to Scott Meir's responsibility. Meier also oversees the Toledo market for Cumulus and at one point ran WFAN in New York. Townsquare brings Hanlon in to oversee all of the company's sales efforts, including: training and sales strategies. Hanlon starts immediately and reports to Executive Vice President for radio Eric Hellum. This is a newly created position at Townsquare.
Townsquare owns and operates radio, digital and live event properties. Its assets include 176 radio stations and companion websites in 38 small to mid-sized markets, over 200 live music and non-music events and certain national digital properties including Taste of Country, Ultimate Classic Rock and PopCrush, as well as eCouponing business Seize the Deal. Additionally, Townsquare Media also operates Townsquare Cares, a non-profit organization that seeks to better the lives of troops and their families. Funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management are the Company?s largest equity holder.
