Pandora released its listener hours for the month of September and says that number was 1.15 billion. The August numbers were 1.16 billion. Active listeners for September were 58.3 million compared to 56.2 million in August. The company also says it now has 6.53% of all radio listening in the U.S. That's an increase over August which was 6.30%. It's difficult to prove the total accuracy of that number. It's derived from listening hours publicly stated by Arbitron for radio and public statements made by Sirius XM. According to Pandora Executives, those two totals are added to the total listening hours from Pandora to make up the total universe of listening hours. From that Pandora says it now has 6.3%.
