Cumulus Launches Classic Hits in Ventura

Duncan Payton (pictured) will be the PD as the new station (KRRF-FM) launches with the Classic Hits format in Ventura County, CA. Payton will also serve as PD for CBS Sports Radio ? AM 1450 KVEN/Ventura.  His experience includes positions in Los Angeles (KOST/KPWR), Atlanta (WWVA), San Diego (KMYI/XHRM), Las Vegas (KMXB/KMZQ/KOAS/KVGS) and Santa Barbara (KRUZ).

Cumulus SVP/Programming Mike McVay said ?We?re excited to have a programmer the caliber of Payton join Cumulus. He and I have history having worked together before. He is a star.?

The station is currently playing 10,006 songs in a row from the 60?s, 70?s & 80?s, featuring artists like: The Beatles, Chicago, Billy Joel, The Eagles, Earth, Wind & Fire, Fleetwood Mac, Elton John, Michael Jackson, Rod Stewart, Santana and Stevie Wonder. Eddie Money ?pushed the button? to launch the station and the first song was his iconic ?Two Tickets to Paradise.?
