While an entire nation was in shock over what took place in Boston Monday, apparently one radio team thought it was OK to make jokes about the incident. The Ron, Arnie and Dawn show is off Entercom?s KRXQ-FM in Sacramento following crude jokes the show made about Boston bombing victims. The jokes were pointed out by rival radio station host, CBS's Don Geronimo.
The trio blamed Geronimo for their suspension and Entercom for taking them off the air in a crazy website rant you can read here. CBS Sacramento says at one point, "with fake Boston accents, Rob, Artie and Dawn talked about people losing their limbs. They go on to discuss how one couple?s relationship might change after one man went to see his girlfriend at the finish line and lost his legs." No word on when or if this show return.

A previous commenter misunderstands the First Amendment. The First Amendment says "Congress shall make no law...". It says nothing about private individuals or, especially, corporations.
A corporate entity may do what it wants regarding those in its employ, directly or indirectly, regarding speech.
In fact, exercising editorial judgment is exercising free speech as well.
Free speech cuts in many ways.
Talk is cheap. I'd like to see these three geniouses come here to Boston and do their schtick. We'll see what's funny.

I applaud Entercom for suspending these individuals for their tasteless humor regarding the Boston Bombings. Making fun at the expense of these poor spectators is deplorable! They should be band from the airwave for good!

This website will not even let me post the letter I wrote to Rob Arnie and Dawn because of the offensive language it contained that I was quoting from the radio hosts own website... That should be enough to note that these peoples show is cheap shock radio and their motto that no one is safe on their show rings true because they weren't either. They got canned. I hope they realize how sad they are using racial epithets on their website and note even apologizing for their actions. Radio deserves better.

The reports of this will be carried on all the other media showing again to the business world that radio is not a serious business.
How about if we whip the fat girl and de-nut the two men?
