Jacobs Media announced today that programmer, researcher, talent coach, and writer Mike Stern will rejoin the company as a consultant. Stern worked for Jacobs back in the early ?90s during the launch of the company?s Edge format. Since that time, he has programmed Alternative, Rock, and Classic Rock in markets as diverse as Dayton, Las Vegas, and Chicago.
?Mike brings a wealth of experience and new thinking to our company. Beside his Rock background, Mike has focused on talent coaching, writing, and ratings ? three important components that can help Jacobs Media better serve its clients,? noted Jacobs Media President Fred Jacobs.
Stern?s programming resume includes VP/Programming for Q101 in Chicago (Emmis), as well as successful runs at WLZR/Milwaukee (Saga), the Peak/Denver (Emmis), KXTE/Las Vegas (CBS), and the sign-on of The Edge/Dayton (ARS).
