Family Radio spent more than $5 million on 5,000 billboards announcing May 21, 2011 as the day the world would expire. Two years after that incorrect prediction came and went, the company is a shell of what it once was according to the San Jose Mercury News. Employees tell the paper that donations have dropped by 70 percent and the company which was once worth $135 million now has net assets worth only $29.2 million.
