Emmanuel Communications, owner of WNEB-AM Emmanuel Radio, has signed an agreement with Money Matters Radio, to purchase WESO-AM in Southbridge, Massachusetts. The new station will help Emmanuel Radio to reach listeners in Southbridge, Sturbridge, and most of the southern central Massachusetts and northern Connecticut area; as well as the Central Massachusetts areas southwest of Worcester including Charlton, Dudley, Leicester, Millbury, Oxford, Spencer, and Sutton. The sale is expected to close later this summer. Emmanuel Radio is a non-commercial Catholic news and information station.
Emmanuel Radio General Manager Cindy Dorsey said, ?We believe that southern Massachusetts and northern Connecticut are important parts of the community we cover and serve. WNEB 1230AM Emmanuel Radio, an affiliate of the EWTN Radio Network, has worked tirelessly to meet demand from listeners in this region who have been unable to hear our signature station with its outstanding national and local programming.?
