Duke Wright officially owns the balance of the South Central Communications stations as that company is out of the radio business for the first time since 1946. Wright's Midwest Communications has closed on its $72 million acquisition of WCJK-FM, WJXA-FM in Nashville, WJXB-FM, WIMZ-FM, WVRX-FM in Knoxville, and WLFW-FM, WIKY-FM, WABX-FM, WSTO-FM in Evansville. With this purchase, Midwest Communications now owns 83 stations throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Indiana, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Tennessee.
