In her new book, Grit to Great, Linda Kaplan Thaler talks about the four words that make up the acronym GRIT (Guts, Resilience, Initiative and Tenacity). She says those are the four words that helped make her successful, and, if you adhere to them, you can be successful, no matter how much talent or ability you have. To say Thaler is wildly successful would be an understatement. Thaler tells Buzz Knight we live in a culture afraid to fail, and, she adds, you cannot get anywhere in life until you fail. "If I was running a radio station, I would say show me something new, don't be afraid to fail, outwork everyone else."
