KUSP-FM in Santa Cruz is on the brink of bankruptcy. Terry Green was the General Manager for the past 12 years and he was let go this week. The station is $280,000 in debt and has $435,000 of unpaid bills to NPR according to The Santa Cruz Sentinel. The station has a budget of about $1 million, it operates at an annual loss of $150,000 to $200,000. Two other board members resigned. The station is now searching for an interim GM.
