The Clear Channel talker is giving Bruce Bond an audition today. Bond hosted a show on WNNK-FM in Harrisburg from 1995 to 2002. In 2008 he was indicted on 65 counts of forgery, attempted grand larceny, and identity theft. It was a $4.3 million forged-check scheme involving accomplices in Nigeria and Europe. Bond was found guilty and sentenced to 2 1/3 to 7 years in prison. He was paroled in 2010. Bond's audition is one of many as the station tries to replace Bob Durgin, who retired on Aug. 2. For twenty five years I've listened to WHP afternoon and can't believe what I just heard.
For 30 years I've worked in the financial world, my record is squeaky clean. I didn't know a thing about Mr Bond until hearing a caller mention his history.
Mr Bond said he was just a cog. I researched the charges and saw that he was found guilty. A cog as he fondly called himself means two things:
He is a very stupid individual
He is a liar
Bruce doesn't deserve to be back on as a talk show host.
