Schnitt Files Another Lawsuit

After losing his case against Bubba The Love Sponge, Todd "MJ" Schnitt has now filed a lawsuit against his former attorney claiming legal malpractice. The circus-like trial about radio in Tampa was fueled by the arrest of Schnitt's attorney Philip Campbell on a DUI charge. The Schnitt team claimed he was set up by an employee from the law firm representing Bubba. Schnitt has already paid Campbell's firm $1 million and according to The Tampa Bay Times Schnitt owes $1 million which he refuses to pay. In his lawsuit Schnitt is asking for his original $1 million back.

The Bubba Schnitt Fight is Over

After five years of battling against each other, a settlement has been reached, in mediation, between Bubba the Love Sponge and Todd "MY" Schnitt. Tampabay.com reports that after a 12-hour mediation session an agreements has been reached. Bubba cannot talk about Schnitt's wife on the air or he faces a $5,000 fine. He also cannot slander Todd Schnitt. Bubba also has agreed to not seek attorneys' fees from the Schnitts for the trial. Clem told radio listeners Friday that he had about $800,000 in legal fees. The Bubba Schnitt Circus Goes On

Todd "MJ" Schnitt has decided the show must go on in Tampa. Schnitt fired the attorney who represented him during his lawsuit against Todd "Bubba The Love Sponge" Clem in Tampa. A new attorney is onboard and Schnitt apparently plans to continue his defamation claims against Clem. Phil Campbell, who was arrested for DUI during the case, is out and new attorney Wil Florin is in. In January a jury determined that Clem did not defame Schnitt and his wife. Schnitt Has Sued A Rival Before...And Won

Back in 1990, it was reported in the Daily Press of Virginia that Schnitt, working for WNVZ-FM, sued Roy Jaynes (known on the air as D.B. Cooper) of WGH-FM for slander and asked for $3 million. According to the paper, Jaynes called Schnitt a little homosexual Jew boy, and made frequent insinuations about his sexual leanings and invited listeners to testify on the air that Schnitt was a homosexual. The trial lasted eight days and Schnitt was awarded $310,000.

Todd Schnitt Saying Goodbye to Tampa

Schnitt has been working on syndicating his political talk program ever since leaving his morning show at WFLZ in Tampa. Now, he announces on Twitter, his talk program on WFLA-AM will end December 18th. "My last show on 970WFLA/Tampa will be December 18. The Schnitt Show will continue on my affiliate stations across the country. More info coming soon about my final show on 970WFLA. My network continues and is expanding soon."

He's heard on about 50 stations across the country and syndicated by Compass Networks.
