Radio One's News 92 (KROI-FM/Houston) afternoon anchor Mike Barajas had an interesting evening last weekend. Barajas was ?conducting? the Houston Symphony and the accompanying musicians in a rendition of "Jumpin? Jack Flash" (with assistance from Symphony conductor Brent Havens). It was during a salute the Houston Symphony performed for the music of the Rolling Stones at the Jesse H. Jones Hall in Houston, Texas.

AM 1300 The Zone in Austin announced today that Jim Apfelbaum's That's Golf show will celebrate its 16th anniversary Saturday. That?s Golf is the longest-running golf radio show in Texas. Apfelbaum was the 2012 recipient of the Southern Texas section of the PGA of America Media/PR Award, the first three-time winner in the award?s history. He's contributed to eight books as the author, co-author, or editor on various aspects of golf, from etiquette to a series of historical and humorous essays. Apfelbaum is the former editor of the Golf Collectors Society Bulletin, and a past-president of the Texas Golf Writers Association. In addition, GolfTexas.com has named That?s Golf the ?Best Golf Radio Show in Texas.?
