NAB Radio Board Backs Royalties Terms
The NAB Radio Board has voted to present the MusicFirst Coalition, which represents record labels, with a legislative "term sheet" designed to settle the long-running battle over performance royalties. Royalties would be set at between .25 percent and 1 percent of station net revenues, with the specifics based on the availability of radio-capable mobile phones. More soon at www.radioink.com. |

Arianna Huffington, co-founder and editor-in-chief of the influential Huffington Post and co-host of public radio's Left, Right & Center, will provide the luncheon keynote at Radio Ink's Forecast 2011, to be held December 7, 2010 at the Harvard Club in New York. Huffington, the author of 13 books including most recently On Becoming Fearless in Love, Work, and Life and Fanatics and Fools: The Game Plan for Winning Back America, launched the Huffington Post news and blog site in 2005. |
