Perhaps the performance royalties battle isn't as near settlement as it appeared, as the MusicFirst Coalition, which represents labels in the negotiations, says it is "deeply troubled by the NAB's rewrite" of an agreement reached this summer. MusicFirst's Tom Matzzie says the NAB's legislative term sheet, released Monday, has changes that "undermine the fundamental economic equation that was core to the July agreement." |
