First app to combine historical photos and audio
Radio Ink launches the PastBlast application for the Apple iPad. PastBlast, based on Radio Ink Publisher Eric Rhoads' book Blast From the Past, is the first app to be devoted to radio's Golden Age.This beautiful application, designed by Kilby Designs' Terry Kilby, lets users navigate by clicking items in an accurately reproduced 1950's radio studio, complete with mic, turntable, and control board.
PastBlast features top radio songs from every decade of radio's 80-plus-year history, vintage and modern broadcast clips, and almost a thousand classic photos of radio studios and personalities, from every era since radio began. "Radio has a rich history, embraced by people around the globe," Rhoads said. "This application is a way to relive some of the great shows and personalities from radio over the decades."
PastBlast is available now in the iTunes App Store for $4.99.
