Fore more than four decades Jim Brand was the voice of Swap Shop on WDVH/WLUS-AM in Jacksonville. He was also the pronouncer of the Alucha County Spelling Bee. Gainsville.com is reporting that Brand died at the age 78 after battling cancer, only six months after ending his nearly 60-year radio career. Brand started his radio career at Southern Methodist University. He was on the air and a PD at stations in Texas, Colorado, Kentucky, Virginia, Boston and New Jersey. Read more about Jim Brand HERE
