Auto Parts, Big Box Wars Play Out on Radio

Moving from the 18th spot on the Media Monitors weekly spot chart to number two, radio stations across the country aired nearly 31,000 commercials for national auto parts chain AutoZone. Of course that doesn't come close to how The Home Depot dominates radio. The big box ran over 75,000 commercials across the country taking the top spot on the chart for the 15th consecutive week. O'Reilly Auto Parts came in third place with 27,284 commercials aired, followed by Lowes, which moved up to 5th place from 26th the week before airing over 26,500 commercials. McDonald's ran 26,350 ads, rounding out the top five.
