Lyrics from singer Robbie Fulks that aired on last weekend's A Prairie Home Companion, prompted Minnesota Public Radio to issue an apology and bleep the words in a rebroadcast of the show. According to the Star Tribune, the song in question was "Where I Fell" with the blasphemy that ends with the syllable "damn." Well. that sort of thing just won't fly in Lake Woebegon.
The radio show's spokesman David O'Neill said they issued a language advisory soon after the live broadcast. According to O'Neill, "The program directors ... then make that call" (on weather to bleep or not). O'Neil continued, "It is something we do on occasion with certain words, especially when children are likely to be listening with their families."
