Townsquare Media says New Jersey 101.5 morning show host Jim Gearhart, who's been on an extended leave of absence as a result of an injury, will not be able to return. Gearhart who's 83 suffered a concussion during a fall at his home in September. He'd been with the station for twenty-five years. Townsquare Market President Fred Bennett said, "All of us at New Jersey 101.5 and Townsquare will miss Jim. Jim Gearhart is an extraordinary broadcaster and we thank him for his 25 years of service to New Jersey 101.5 and the entire New Jersey community. Jim is in our thoughts and wish him a quick recovery." Bill Spadea has been named the new host.
