Standard Media Index is reporting that a more robust scatter TV ad market resulted in double-digit percentage growth in October. That was TV's best monthly performance in nearly two years. SMI compiles 80% of national media spending from U.S. media agencies, reports broadcast TV jumped 12% in revenue in October and cable up 9%. Digital continues its big gains up 34% over October 2014. Social media more than doubled from one year ago, adding 129%. Video was up 70%. Out of home jumped 19%, newspapers grew 6%. On the losing end, radio was off 11% with magazines down 1%.
