Siegel Observes 35 Years at Boston's "Kiss." Not many other on-air personalities are able to claim employment at the same contemporary music station for the last 35 years, but Matt Siegel can. The host of "Matty in the Morning" on WXKS-FM, Boston "Kiss 108" noted his 35th anniversary at the iHeartMedia CHR yesterday (Tuesday, 1/12). The company's market president Alan Chartrand states that, "Matt is a truly remarkable talent. His ratings dominance has spanned decades, which is absolutely remarkable when you consider the dramatic changes in the media landscape in Boston." Senior vice president of programming Dylan Sprague comments, "As an entertainer, Matty has influenced generations of listeners; he has become a cultural phenomenon in Boston. Off air, his competitive spirit and market leading success continues to inspire the industry's young talent." Siegel credits a "great team that works hard. I consider myself incredibly lucky and fortunate being able to entertain and make listeners laugh over the years." Included among Siegel's honors are NAB Marconi awards in 2001 and 2009 for large market "Radio Personality of the Year." Having notched its third successive positive trend (5.4 – 5.6 – 6.1 – 6.6, 6+), "Kiss 108" ranks third in Nielsen Audio's December 2015 PPM report; Greater Media adult contemporary WMJX "Magic 106.7" is on top (8.0, 6+).
