Harris Broadcast Splits, Changes Name

Harris Broadcast has split into two companies, Imagine Communications and GatesAir. The announcement was made Monday at the company's annual MediaDay held at Madison Square Garden. Imagine Communications will be headquartered in Dallas, with offices in Denver, Toronto, Los Angeles, Tel Aviv, and Beijing. GatesAir will be headquartered in Cincinnati, with its manufacturing, supply chain and fulfillment center in Quincy, Illinois. Charlie Vogt (pictured) will be CEO of both companies.

Radio Show Splits Into Two Tracks

The National Association of Broadcasters and Radio Advertising Bureau will offer two new conference tracks, the Programming Masters Series and Sales Consultants' Corner, both on Friday, September 20 at the 2013 Radio Show in Orlando. They will run concurrently on Friday morning and are designed to provide radio programming and salespeople a training opportunity in a consolidated format.

The Programming Masters Series will address how today's multi-platform media environment impacts Radio programmers as they juggle the demands of programming multiple stations and cultivating talent. During the four-hour Sales Consultants' Corner, radio's top sales trainers and consultants will discuss effective strategies for training salespeople, prospecting new leads, and growing revenue.
