December 5, 2011: CBS Radio gets a new head of digital sales, as Neil Salvage is set to join the company in January, reporting to President/Sales Michael Weiss. Salvage arrives with more than 15 years in the search industry, most recently as EVP of advertising for CityGrid Media; he joined that company in 2006 and helped take it from the individual Citysearch.com website to one of the largest local ad networks.
Salvage has also served as VP/sales for Yellowpages.com and in sales roles for BellSouth Advertising and Publishing and BellSouth Intelligent Media Ventures.
"In Neil, we have succeeded in hiring an incredibly seasoned local advertising pro with experience at well respected companies such as Citysearch, Yellowpages.com, and BellSouth," Weiss says. "With his background we're confident we can acquire new clients whose focus is deeply rooted in digital marketing and claim a greater share of incremental dollars in 2012 and beyond."
