Tom Joyner announced yesterday that Ford will be the presenting sponsor of the Tom Joyner Foundation Fantastic Voyage. Joyner said ?Every year I say it and every year it?s true, there?s no party with a purpose like this anywhere else in the world. You?ve got to experience this because you?ll never be a part of anything like this ever again and it?s all to help my favorite passion ? black colleges.?
Launched in 2000, this legendary cruise raises money to help keep students in Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) through the Tom Joyner Foundation. Each year, Joyner, along with his Tom Joyner Morning Show crew and celebrity friends, raises money for this significant cause. The annual cruise offers a jam-packed line-up of musical acts, comedians, seminars, theme nights and the creation of an interactive community at sea from sun up to sundown.
For seven days and six nights, Royal Caribbean International?s ?Navigator of the Seas??, will be home to some of the most fantastic artists in soul music including Queen Latifah, Fantasia, Chante Moore, SWV, Boyz II Men, Lil G from Silk, H-Town, Shai, Tony Toni Tone, Yarbrough & Peoples, Rose Royce, Taste of Honey, Anita Ward, Confunkshun, Glen Jones, Phil Perry, Tony Terry, Michael Cooper, Keith Sweat, Guy, Bobby Valentino, Christopher Williams and Lenny Williams.
Shawn Lollie, Ford manager of Multicultural Marketing. ?We are thrilled to be back aboard the ship for the first time as the official presenting sponsor of the cruise. It is our brand promise to go further as a company when it comes to not only our products but also to our communities. This partnership continues to be one that we are committed to and we are looking forward to being able to once again be a part of an event that supports higher education within our community.?
3,000 passengers are set to sail away from Fort Lauderdale and through the Caribbean March 25-31 on this ?Ultimate Party with a Purpose.? In addition to live music entertainment the cruise offers seminars, shopping excursions, an art show featuring the work of renowned artists Annie Lee and Frank Frazier, competition from basketball to bid whist, and themed celebrations for Mardi Gras, White Night, Formal Night, Represent Night and 70s Night. Guests also have the opportunity to rise early for exercise and morning devotion with Dr. Bobby Jones or dance throughout the day with DJs and music performances in up to seven different venues on the ship.
