Andy Friedman arrives at AOL's Patch as head of content operations. He was most recently VP of programming & interactive at Merlin Media, and before that headed interactive for Tribune Co.
AOL said in announcing the hiring on its blog, "With Andy, we're taking another step in providing our editorial team with the information they need and, at the same time, committing to improving the way we get things done every day.
Patch is AOL's :community-specific news, information, and engagement platform," with local salespeople and content supplied by local editors.
