After about three months as classic hits, Alpha Media's WGHL/Louisville has reformatted to Old School 105.1. Alpha is certainly looking to corner the market on urban in Louisville, with the addition of Old School 105.1, Alpha now has three urban formats in Louisville including: urban/WGZB-FM (B96.5) and urban ac/WMJM-FM (Magic 101.3).
Dale Schaefer, Sr. Vice President and Market Manager, Alpha Media Louisville commented on the new format, "In the past year, the Classic Hip Hop format has emerged throughout the country as the hottest new radio format because it targets a well-educated, high income audience of 25-54 year olds who grew up listening to this genre of music. We are thrilled to be able to fill this music void in the Louisville market so that advertisers can effectively reach this desirable group of listeners in our community."
