Radio One's CEO and President Alfred Liggins said "Overall core radio revenues were up 8.1% in the fourth quarter compared to last year led by national business, which was up 19.3%, and radio segment internet revenue, which was up 179.1%. Q1 2011 has started sluggishly, with radio station revenue currently pacing flat to up low single-digits on a combined basis." |

You don't often see a radio company hire someone to run a cluster of stations who hasn't climbed through the ranks. That's exactly what Radio One did with this hire. Douglas Spak has been in Cincinnati for the last 25 years and has 30 years of marketing and business development experience. Radio One says "Spak has relationships with advertisers and the community that will complement the mission and the focus of our three radio stations". Spak had his own consulting business and provided a variety of services to small and mid-sized businesses including brand and media strategy. |

The stations new talk radio programming format is centered around local and legendary talk radio personality Jack Ellery, who hosts the Morning Show from 6am to10am. On the Radio side, net revenue increased 17% in Q4 to $7.1 million. Cash flow grew $339,000 to $1.4 million and cash flow margin was 19.7%, up from 17.4%. For 2010 net revenue increased 11% to $25.3 million. Cash flow increased $755,000 to $4.9 million; Radio cash flow margin improved 1.2% to 19.2%. Among other media properties Fisher owns 8 radio stations in the western United States. |

NABEF will debut a six-month Technology Apprenticeship Program designed to expose ten high-tech graduates and professionals to the broadcast industry. Program highlights include a two month, hands-on apprenticeship at a radio or television station, as well as completion of a three-day training program located at a major technology manufacturer.
