The 19th Infinite Dial Study, a collaboration between Arbitron and Edison Research was released yesterday and one of the highlights from the research had to do with Pandora. The research claims that "one in ten Americans report listening to Pandora Internet Radio in the week before they were surveyed." That's some good news to go along with the "unknown" news Pandora received when hit with a subpoena recently. |

In my first professional, full-time sales position, the company brought all the new sales people to a six-week training class in Mill Valley, California. There, we memorized three, four page, single-spaced sales presentations. Most days consisted of practicing those presentations in role-playing scenarios, having them video recorded, playing them back, and then having the group critique them. |

Nick Cannon, will serve as host of a new weekly countdown show to be broadcast on CBS RADIO stations and syndicated to markets nationwide by Citadel Media. Cannon's Countdown will be available for both CHR Pop/Rhythmic and Urban stations and will feature a mix of music and celebrity interviews. The show will debut in two dozen markets including New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Houston, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., Detroit, Phoenix, Oklahoma City, New Orleans and Little Rock the weekend of April 23. |

The NAB says it has always been a strong advocate for universal inclusion of free over-the-air radio technology in cell phones and other handheld devices. Next week, at the NAB Broadcasters Convention in Las Vegas "information on NAB's advocacy efforts in this area will be available at the Showcase, as will information on antenna technology for embedding FM radio antennas in cell phones developed with funding from the NAB FASTROAD technology advocacy program". |
