Recent studies have shown multi-tasking is not effective. As everyone has read by now Miami Dolphin broadcaster Jim Mandich passed away Tuesday after a battling cancer. Mandich really brought the Dolphins games to life for those who listened on the radio in South Florida. He was a Dolphins homer, but once you got over that, he sure could be entertaining. The letter below appeared on the Sun Sentinel website last night. There was no return e-mail address to get in touch with the author, however it's such a great story we thought everyone would like to read it. |

We've all done it. Promoted a good salesperson, often our best, to sales manager. My files are full of cases where the results were below expectations for everyone involved. Managers are often disappointed with the lack of results, and the sales managers are confused and frustrated with the lack of achievement of their teams. |
