Thursday afternoon Fisher Communications announced it had mailed a letter to all Fisher shareholders in connection with the Company's Annual Meeting of Shareholders May 11th. The letter urges shareholders not to vote for FrontFour's slate of director's stating they have no experience and the slate Fisher is putting up is "highly qualified". The letter criticizes shareholder David Lorber stating "his lack of transparency, poor governance performance and misleading statements demonstrate a willingness to say and do anything to ensure his firm controls Fisher." |

San Francisco NPR affiliate KQED has come up with an innovative solution to the dilemma public stations face turning off listeners when asking for money. Anyone who ponies up a donation of $45 will be given access to a special online stream of KQED's programming that is entirely free of interruptions during an upcoming pledge drive. |

Cumulus has started shuffling bodies as they gear up to close the Citadel deal and divest stations to stay within the allowable station count in each market. Since 1997 Donna Baker has run the Kansas City stations for Cumulus. She's being moved to Houston as market manager. As part of her new gig, Baker will be responsible for legendary KRBE-FM and sports talker KFNC. Mark Sullivan also a Cumulus employee moves from Nashville to Kansas City to take Bakers place. Sullivan will oversee the entire cluster of Cumulus/Citadel stations once the deal closes later this year. |

A Staten Island grand jury has indictmented two suspects in the shooting death of former New York radio personality DJ Megatron. 21 year old William Williams and 20 year old Richard Cromwell were formally charged with murder, robbery and weapon possession. |
