Michigan's athletic department has extended its agreement with CBS Radio in Detroit for five years. The deal will put all U-M football and men?s basketball games on WWJ-AM (950). Football games no longer will be on WOMC-FM (104.3). There are 35 football affiliates in the Michigan football network. Staying with the CBS radio family is a win-win for our fans. We are looking to add additional radio affiliates to cover the state of Michigan and the Midwest.?
The deal includes a 2 1/2-hour pregame football show, plus an hourlong postgame show. The pregame and postgame shows will be 30 minutes apiece for basketball games. As part of the deal, 15 ice hockey games and six women?s basketball games will be broadcast on WXYT-AM (1270). Football coach Brady Hoke?s weekly radio show will begin at 7 p.m. Aug. 31 and continue on Wednesdays throughout the season. Basketball coach John Beilein?s show will take place on Mondays.
