Michael Roberston launched his newest company DAR.FM (which stands for Digital Audio Recorder) 6 months ago with 1,500 shows coming from 500 radio stations. Now with over 5,000 stations feeding DAR.FM 16,000 shows Robertson's venture is really starting to take off. The numbers increased so dramatically thanks to "spiders" which crawl out over the Internet gathering information, manually entering shows and a wiki-driven system where hosts and listeners update and change information about a program to make sure it's in the system correctly.
Yesterday, Radio Ink Editor Ed Ryan Skyped a 4-minute interview with Robertson about the growth of DAR. He talks about what he's done with the user data and what he thought was the most interesting aspect of the user information.
