These are the kinds of stories we could, and will, write about every day. Greater Media in Philadelphia hosted a very cool community event that highlights another one of radio's unmatchable positive attributes. The Greater Media team hosted a ?Day of Greater Good? in the local community with more than 90 employees volunteering at the Cradles to Crayons ?Giving Factory." Employees helped clean, sort and organize donated goods, to benefit some of the region?s most needy children. Cradles to Crayons Back to School mission provides children living in low income and homeless situations from birth to preteen the basic essentials, free of charge, that they need to feel safe, warm, ready to learn.
This is Greater Media Philadelphia?s latest initiative in an effort to give back to the community. Following a month-long donation drive to collect clothing, baby essentials, and school supplies, Greater Media delivered 10 cargo vans full of donated items to the Giving Factory in Conshohocken. The Cradles to Crayons team was overjoyed at the generosity of Greater Media?s donation when the first van load arrived. To hear that there were 9+ additional van loads was just surreal to the organization. Volunteers from all departments of Greater Media were present on Thursday, including on-air personalities John DeBella, Jaxon and Matt Cord.
