Cumulus CEO Lew Dickey says behind a strong quarter for automotive, a recovering housing category and health care, the company has experienced positive revenue growth through June 30. Cumulus was up $8.6 million, which is 3.1 percent. When you back out the two markets Cumulus now owns that it didn't own last year, same station revenue was up 2 percent. Dickey says July, the first month of Q3, is up over 2 percent and the quarter is pacing positive. Finally, from his list of "code red" spoken-word stations that were being blamed for Cumulus' 2012 revenue woes, Dickey said only one remains on that original list of 10 stations that needed to be turned around. Dickey did not name the station.
