8-19-13The radio team of Steve Jones (pictured) and Jack Ham have signed on for at least three more three years of calling Penn State Football on the Penn State Sports Network. Jones and Ham will begin their 14th consecutive season of calling Nittany Lion football when the team meets Syracuse on Aug. 31 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. Loren Crispell returns as the sideline reporter for Penn State football broadcasts and Roger Corey returns as the pre-game show host on the Penn State Sports Network.
Jones has served as the play-by-play voice of Nittany Lion basketball since 1982 and Penn State football since 2000. He also co-hosts the Penn State Football Show and Penn State Basketball Show every Thursday at 6:05 p.m. from late August through mid-March. Jones co-hosts Sports Talk weekdays from 1-3 p.m. on a trio of stations in State College (1450 AM), Altoona (1430) and Huntingdon (1150), and from 3-5 p.m. on Sunbury'sWKOK (1070). He is a Penn State graduate.
