President Obama's candidate for FCC Chairman, Tom Wheeler, was approved by the Senate Commerce Committee on Tuesday. And as with most issues with Congress, there was some drama for everyone to enjoy. Republican Senator Ted Cruz voted no. Cruz wanted a straight answer from Wheeler on whether he would go around Congress and use the FCC's authority to increase political ad disclosures. Cruz threatened to delay Wheeler's nomination. Wheeler never did answer the question. The Wheeler vote now goes to the full Senate.
