Hearst owned WBAL in Baltimore announced three promotions Thursday including Malarie Pinkard who was promoted to News Director. Pinkard, who started out as a researcher at Hearst, is now responsible for all aspects of all operations and production for the largest newsroom in Maryland. Also, Mike Wellbrock is promoted to Assistant Program Director and Johnny Goldsmith is promoted to Executive Producer.
