The Buffalo News is reporting that Amherst police responded to a 911 call last week at the home of WBEN's Tom Bauerle. Bauerle apparently told officers he's under surveillance by operatives of New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo. Police then took a loaded, semi-automatic handgun from Bauerle when they encountered him in his backyard as he claimed a suspicious person was spying on him. The paper is reporting that Bauerle agreed to a psychiatric evaluation at Erie County Medical Center after police contacted Crisis Services about their concerns.
