Media Monitors introduced new lead generation software at the NAB this week that stations can deploy to determine exactly which local clients are using online media in their markets. As the previous story indicated, online revenue is exploding and radio is constantly trying to determine how to get more of a share of that growing pie. Media Monitors President and CEO Philippe Generali says his new software starts with about 400 sites in each market and crawls them for all ads, banners buttons, pop-ups, any type of online advertising. All of that information is then constantly updated for salespeople to use as leads.
Generali says if a website is missing from the list of 400 just call the company and they will add the additional sites to the search list. The product launched in the top ten markets Thursday.
