In a trend reversal of sorts, Beasley reported strong national revenue and weaker local revenue when it called in its 1st quarter revenue results Friday. Recent results from public companies had national down with local doing much better. On a same-station basis, Beasley revenue increased 3.4 percent in the quarter. CFO Caroline Beasley said the increase was due to strong performances by company clusters in Philadelphia, Las Vegas, and Fort Myers/Naples. Despite a 152 percent increase in digital and a 25 percent increase in national, Miami was unable to overcome a 7 percent decline in local and wound up down for the quarter by 2 percent. Overall, Beasley took in $24.8 million in Q1.
