The Kellar Radio Talent Institute was the first Institute of the National Radio Talent System, and now in its 9th year, begins today at Appalachian State University. More than 160 students have completed this Institute, with 70% of them starting their careers in radio or a related field, when they graduate from the university. Trip Savery, Executive VP of Curtis Media Group based in Raleigh and NCAB Board Member, commented, "We have hired 8 of the students from the Kellar Radio Talent Institute in the past few years, and every one of them is amazingly talented".
