Cumulus Columbia-Jefferson City announced that News-Talk KFRU was named Missouri's first-ever "Radio Station of the Year" by the Missouri Broadcasters Association. The station was honored among all Missouri radio stations for excellence in delivering community-centered programming through broadcast time used to benefit the community, station resources used to benefit the community, and individual involvement in the community by the station's on-air talent. KFRU was presented with the award at the MBA's 2015 Annual Convention and Awards Banquet.
